Gagie Preschool
The ultimate goal of the Gagie School is to help each child become a very highly contributing member of society. A more short-term purpose is to develop within each child a very positive attitude toward school and learning. By understanding normal human growth and development and by using developmental scales, each child is monitored in the areas of physical (gross and motor), self help, cognitive, social and Language skills. Everything that goes on in the preschool has a definite purpose that is related to these areas of development. Curriculum is developed according to the individual needs of the children. Each child at the Gagie School will achieve developmental skills appropriate for his or her age level. This ensures a strong foundation for later academic achievement.

Positive EnvironmentThe learning environment at the school is highly structured to ensure the optimal learning conditions. About, one-half of each session is devoted to planned activities in small groups in which all the children participate. The other half of each session is devoted to free play time.

Behavioral StrategyThrough the use of a few rules and positive reinforcement, children learn to control their behavior and to get along well with each other in play and work situations. The pupil-teacher ratio is no more than eight pupils to one teacher.

Nutrition & HealthA small snack of juice and crackers is provided by the school at each session. We emphasize physical education and healthy decision making everyday.
